Bob topped
last year's PDP-10 simulator by building a VAX simulator, thereby carrying
the Computer History Project into the late 80's. His startup
(Nauticus Networks) has just put its product into beta testing with Real
Customers, an occasion for quiet celebration and endless
nail-biting.
Martha continues her quilt activities, both for personal pleasure and as library volunteer and webmaster for the New England Quilt Museum. She has just resumed work on her "Seasons" quilt cycle, with a timely Winter Snowflakes design. On the home front, we have finally succumbed to the Digital Age (the Digital Urge?) and updated our vintage 1985 media setup. It has cost about a third of the available floor space in the living room, but there's finally a DVD player, a TV large enough not to require binoculars, and speakers that didn't go to college with us. Teddy, our orange tiger cat (and the True Lord Of the Manor), is delighted: the best viewing is from his favorite couch, so he's getting a lot more Quality Lap Time. Martha’s new toys this year include a 36 inch antique doll from Bob’s mother, Fiesta dishes from her mother, and a 1914 Singer treadle sewing machine. |

says: Lori and I are still enjoying the sunny weather in San
Diego. Lori is working on her masters degree in Linguistics at UC
San Diego and spent the summer in Guatamala studying modern Mayan. I
am working for DigiDesign on music production software and commuting to
San Francisco bimonthly and have enough airline miles for a free trip to
Pluto (if only Southwest flew there). Life has been busy but we are
hoping to make it to Lake Tahoe for some skiing and cold weather this
winter. |

says: I'm a senior at Brown, set to graduate this May with a BA
in Computer Science. I'm looking for a job in the video game
industry. I've been going out with Larissa Winey (who lives down the
street from us in Carlisle) for a year now. The Hillel a cappella
singing group has taken a sabbatical so I'm using my extra free time to
run a new role-playing game for my friends at
school. |
